ST. JOSEPH, Mo. –

Missouri Western attempted to keep up with MIAA foe #4 Central Missouri but failed losing 6–5.

The Griffons did all they could to keep the line moving with the leaders being the usual suspects. One of those was Alex crouch who had a RBI from a fly out. This can of corn got one in, it also extended his season hitting streak to six games.

Will Courtney and Zach Hanlan also contributed to Missouri Westerns total, each getting an RBI of their own from their at bat.

With a tight eye on the mound can also come runs. In this instance Jared Munk came home off of a balk by Central Missouri’s Hunter Little. Hunter Rumachik was hopeful to even a 6–4 ball game in the 6th with the bases loaded, he was walked to have the Griffons only down by one.

Pitcher Samson Holcomb attempted to give his team a chance near the end. Despite the MWSU offense not adding runs, Holcomb achieved just one hit and four strikeouts on seven batters.

This Griffon offense seems to be possibly powering up. Central Missouri used eight different pitchers from Missouri Western’s four pitchers.

The Griffons will travel to Talequah,Oklahoma on Friday at 2:00 pm for battle with the Riverhawks. Northeastern’s record currently sits at 18–12 overall and a 8–9 record against the conference.
